So after a span of 15 years we hear some music and fear of Manjulika. Definitely not as good as the first movie, if you go in expecting something similar to the first part then you’re going to be completely disappointed. Its a big task for Kartik to step in to shoes of Bhul Bhulaiya legend like Akshay and one can imagine the pressure Aryan must have to go through while shooting this movie but he delivered his optimal performance. Though Kartik has done good job here but your attention will solely stay focused on Tabu. Tabu steals the show all the time !! She has given justice to her character perfectly giving strength to the screenplay. Those who missed Rajpal all these years will like his performance. Some horror scenes are quite scary, probably more than the first film. Comedy part is little bit disconnected in some scenes of horror. You will find plethora of scenes with forced humors. Music could have been better though title song amuses you wholeheartedly. Everything except the climax was very predictable. The backstory is revealed far too easily, without the cast actually searching out or finding any shocking clues first. Visual effects and background music at the time of horror gives sense of complacency.
All said and done, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the answer to the much-hyped hatred towards Hindi cinema, for it’ll prove how any film could work if it does one thing right – entertain!
Good to go movie in a rainy day, if you go theatre with no expectations.
