Ingredients
- 2 cups rava (semolina/suji)
- 1 cup curd
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ onion finely chopped
- 1 carrot, grated
- ½ tomato, chopped
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- Few curry leaves
- 2 chillies finely chopped
- ½ tsp eno fruit salt
Instant Rava Paniyaram Process
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups rava, 1 cup curd, and 1 cup water.Mix well to form a smooth batter.
- Let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes after mixing the ingredients to allow the rava to absorb moisture for a softer texture.
- Add 1 tsp salt, ½ finely chopped onion, 1 grated carrot, ½ chopped tomato, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander, a few finely chopped curry leaves, and 2 finely chopped chillies.
- Mix the vegetables evenly into the batter.
- Just before cooking, add ½ tsp eno fruit salt to the batter and mix gently.
- Heat an appe pan and grease it lightly with oil.
- Pour a spoonful of batter into each cavity of the appe pan.
- Cook on medium heat until the appe are golden brown and crispy on one side.
- Flip the appe and cook until the other side is also golden and crispy.
- Remove from the pan and serve hot with spicy chutney.
