What happens when a film made on a budget of less than ₹2 crore manages to capture the audience’s attention without relying on big stars, grand action sequences or expensive visual effects? Hanuman Ansh is a good example of it. The film proves that a powerful story does not always need a massive budget. Sometimes, simplicity, faith and honest storytelling can leave a bigger impact than spectacle.
The film begins like a spiritual journey, but the story takes an interesting turn after a conversation with the temple Mahant. From there, the audience is taken through a series of unusual experiences and miracles that keep the curiosity alive. The story does not reveal everything at once, and that is one of the reasons it manages to hold attention until the end. The rural setting adds a lot to the film. The landscapes look natural and authentic, and they fit beautifully with the simple world shown in the story. The villages, people and surroundings do not feel overly polished or artificial. They make the film feel rooted and real. The focus remains on ordinary people, their struggles and the changes that happen in their lives after meeting Maharaj Ji. The music is another strong point. The songs blend spiritual feelings with folk music and suit the rural setting of the film. Songs like “Parvati” and “Maine Tere Hi Bharose Hanuman” stand out.
However, the film is not perfect. Some of the digital effects could have been better. A few scenes could have looked more natural with stronger visual treatment. Another area that could have received more attention is the character of Maharaj Ji. Since he is the central figure of the story, more depth into his personality, thoughts and teachings could have made the film even more interesting.
Still, these limitations do not take away from the overall experience.
What makes Hanuman Ansh refreshing is its simplicity. At a time when many films try to impress audiences with bigger action, louder storytelling and expensive visuals, this film chooses to tell its story in a much simpler way.
And that simplicity works. For anyone who enjoys spiritual stories, stories about saints , or simply wants a break from the usual loud, action-heavy films and movies filled with forced jokes and unnecessary attempts at comedy, Hanuman Ansh is certainly worth a watch.
